Terms of Service

Tepuy LMS is provided to students and staff of The School District of Osceola County, Florida for schoolwork. Accounts are issued by the District. You may not create one, and you may not use an account that was not issued to you.

Keep your password to yourself. Do not sign in as anyone else, and do not let anyone sign in as you — including to submit work.

Tell your teacher or the District right away if you think someone else has used your account.

While using this service you agree not to:

• Attempt to reach another person's records, or any part of the system your role is not meant to reach.
• Interfere with the service, probe it for weaknesses, or try to get around its limits.
• Post anything that harasses, threatens or demeans another person, and anything obscene or unlawful.
• Upload material you do not have the right to share.
• Use the Student Tutor, or any other tool, to produce work you then submit as your own when the assignment does not allow it.

The District's student code of conduct and acceptable use policy apply here exactly as they do anywhere else on District technology, and they take precedence over these terms if the two ever differ.

The Student Tutor is built to explain and to ask questions back, and it refuses to do graded work. Trying to make it produce an answer for a graded assignment is a violation of the District's academic honesty policy, not a clever workaround.

Work a student submits belongs to that student, and the record of it is an education record of the District.

Lessons, assignments, rubrics and question banks created by a teacher stay with that teacher and the District.

The software itself belongs to Juan Carlos Tovar. Using the service does not transfer any right to the software.

Student information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

The service is provided at no cost for educational use, as is. We keep it running and fix what breaks, but we do not promise uninterrupted service, and maintenance may take it offline.

Grades of record live in the District's official gradebook. This service is a teaching tool and a working copy, not the system of record.

An account may be suspended for misuse of the service or for a security concern. The District decides on any suspension that affects a student's access to their coursework.

These terms may change; the date of the version in force appears on this page. Current version: 2026-08-24.

Florida law governs, and nothing in these terms limits any right a student or parent has under FERPA or under Florida law.
